Welcome to part 3 of our study on Isaiah 54:17
Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue, which rises against you in judgment, You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,†Says the Lord.
This month we are going to look at the section of this scripture “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord” now we could study this part for months alone but here goes.
What is heritage?
A tradition; a practice or set of values that is passed down from preceding generations through families or through institutional memory.
A birthright; the status acquired by birth, especially of but not exclusive to the firstborn.
We looked at the fact we have a right to condemn anything that speaks to us that is not in line with the promises of God, why? Because Jesus paid a price for our lives to be free, He took us out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light, He made us kings and Priests, and Joint aires with Him.
If I was to go overseas to another nation I have to take my passport with me, that gives me as a British citizen rights, I have the full backing of the Government of Great Britan behind me, why? I was born in the United Kingdom, I have my heritage founded in my father’s line from generation to generation within my household.
Galatians 4:6-7 (NKJV) And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, Abba, Father! Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Wow, if an heir of God through Christ, we therefore have rights, if a son of God, we have Authority and if we have Authority, we can say something in Faith, (which is simply trusting and believing the promises in the Word of God are true and very relevant to me.) and it MUST take place. But this is where some Christians trip up, they start saying something and go and stop taking medication, this is foolishness. Yes speak to your situation, keep speaking, keep telling those things that are not to be as though they were, keep taking steps of faith and keep building it stronger and stronger, and our situation will change, and healing overtakes the medicine. We are all born with muscles yet when you look at a body builder their muscles in their arms are as big as my leg, why? They have used and built, exersied developed their muscles more than me, yet we are both given muscles, only one of us has grown theirs, it’s the same with faith we are all given a measure of faith, but some develop their faith, in order to use their faith in greater ways.
The Word of God is full of life, Jesus came to give us life more abundant, things will change. This is using a spiritual legal system that allows us to change things because of what Jesus has done, start small and start today to build your faith and dwell on what the bible says about you and not what Satan is telling you, remember he is a lier. Tell him to back off, as you over come him by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of YOUR testimony (to proclaim that which is the truth).
We as Ambassadors, citizens of Heaven, Hiers of God, need to establish the things of the Kingdom of Heaven here on this earth, we will get resistance, after all, we are at war, but we have been given spiritual weapons in Eph. 6, we have been told this is our heritage and as children of God, we need to walk in line with the Bible and establish the truth in our lives, friends and family.
